We are very excited that two new titles in our De Gruyter's series Chronoi: Time, Time Awareness, Time Management are finally out! Peter N. Singer’s “Time for the Ancients: Measurement, Theory, Experience” offers an overview of experiences, theories and conceptions of time in the Graeco-Roman world through medical approaches and medical sources. Thomas L. Gertzen’s “But Time Fears the Pyramids: Scholarly Disciplines of the Ancient Near East and the Temporal Dimension of Cultural History” (in German) explores the development from a "biblical chronology" to historiography which is based on natural science and historical evidence through several case studies in the history of science. Both titles are now available in print and as Open Access: https://www.degruyter.com/serial/chronoi-b/html
